Originally from Alliston, Ontario, Marilyn found her home in New Brunswick after what began as a two-week visit in 1978. Drawn to the East Coast lifestyle, she built a life centred around family, gardening, and creativity.
Marilyn creates hand-painted silk art using traditional silk-painting techniques, transforming white silk into vibrant scarves and wall hangings. Inspired by a lifelong love of nature, her colourful, whimsical designs reflect the beauty of Maritime gardens and landscapes while celebrating the elegance and movement of silk.
