Donna Rawlins Sharpe

Painting-Drawing-Mixed Media

Donna is a mixed media artist based in Sackville, New Brunswick, where she has lived for nearly three decades. After studying art education at York University, she continued her training in printmaking at Otis/Parsons Art Institute in Los Angeles and Emily Carr College of Art and Design in Vancouver. She has been creating artwork for more than forty years.

Donna's paintings combine elements of Japanese and Western art, using drawing, painting, and mixed media techniques to capture the essence of the small, everyday things we often overlook. Inspired by orchids, hummingbirds, herons, blossoms, and other delicate forms found in nature, her work celebrates the quiet strength and resilience that can be found within life's fleeting moments.
