Elizabeth Vanderleelie

Elizabeth Vanderleelie’s studio practice includes textile art and watercolour painting. Working with embroidery thread on fabric, she uses traditional techniques such as cross stitch to create abstract compositions.  Her watercolour paintings are landscape based and open to the spontaneous effects of a fluid medium.

Elizabeth studied painting and drawing at the Ontario College of Art, and later earned a diploma in Cultural Resource Management from the University of Victoria.  Her travels have taken her to many art galleries, museums and cultural events in Canada, the U.S., Europe and South America.  She now lives in Westcock, NB.
